The first-aid requirement

In New Brunswick, family foster care is approved by the Department of Social Development under the Family Services Act, following background checks and a home assessment. A current first-aid and CPR certificate from a recognized organization is commonly required or arranged as part of caregiver preparation, though it is expected under departmental practice rather than fixed by a single explicit statutory clause.
